Personal portfolio with 3D globe, blog & i18n
A fully custom personal portfolio for Aaron Driesch. The site presents projects, skills, stats, and an MDX blog with interactive 3D elements, particle effects, and a bilingual interface in German and English.

The challenge
A personal portfolio has to make an impression immediately and prove the developer's technical range at the same time. It needed to present projects, skills and a blog clearly — fast, bilingual and entirely self-hosted.
Our solution
We built a full-stack Next.js application with an interactive 3D globe (Three.js/COBE), particle effects, physics simulations and an MDX-based blog. Supabase handles auth and data, the GitHub API supplies live statistics. Full German/English support with automatic language detection and a Docker-based deployment complete the project.
The results
- A distinctive presence built on real 3D and animation work
- An MDX blog for technical articles and case studies
- A bilingual interface (DE/EN) with locale detection
- GitHub API integration for live developer statistics
- Fully self-hosted via Docker behind a reverse proxy

"Als Entwickler wollte ich ein Portfolio, das technisch und visuell überzeugt. Das Ergebnis ist eine Plattform, die meine Fähigkeiten und Projekte professionell in Szene setzt — mit 3D-Elementen und Animationen, die man so selten sieht."
